Dear Grade 3C Families,
We are so happy to see home reading coming in!!! Keep up the
great reading. It’s a Crime not to Read was in on Wednesday with some
terrific books that your child has borrowed. They may return them to our class bin and exchange them at any time. On November 17 we will return the books to
Vivo- Country Hills Library when we visit. More information will follow.
In Health class we have been focusing on the 3 pillars: Taking care of myself, others,
and our place. The children have heard many Indigenous stories and have been
involved in our class circle talks.
In science we are busy planning and building our communities. Thanks parents for
sending in materials for this in class group project.
In Social we have discuss the Harvest and what it looks like around
the world via video and text. The children have learned about celebrations.
In math we are working on place values to 999 which includes greater than,
less than, and equal to when making comparisons.
Message from Mrs. Davidoff:
SVS Pumpkinella!
Get your family together and join in the fun for SVS's Pumpkinella! Design,
carve or dress up a pumpkin to bring for display.
ONLY ONE DISPLAY PER FAMILY!
Bring your pumpkin to the DLC after school on Wednesday October 30th
or the morning of Thursday October 31st from 8:20-8:40am.
The pumpkin may have a safer journey if they are not brought to school on the bus.
If you could add a tea-light to the center of your pumpkin, it will add to a special
effect when placed in the gym.
Classes will tour the gym throughout the day to enjoy your efforts.
Pumpkins MUST be picked up to go home by Thursday between 4:00 and 5:00pm.
Thank you,
Mr. O’Reilly
